About
Paty and Leo first met at a music college in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2007 while pursuing their music degrees. After over a decade of working with some of Brazil's most influential bands and artists, they reunited for a concert in 2019. This event led to the creation of their project, Duet Paty & Leo, in 2020. Now, both personally and professionally connected, they are fully dedicated to their musical journey.
Duet Paty & Leo have performed across Europe, South America, and the US. Their versatility and engaging performances have earned them praise, invitations to prestigious events, and collaborations with renowned musicians worldwide. In 2021, despite the pandemic, they released their album Da Nossa Terra (From Our Land), featuring classic Brazilian music with fresh arrangements. In April 2023, they had the honor of recording with drummer Danny Gottlieb (The Pat Metheny Group, Mahavishnu Orchestra). Later, in December 2023, they performed in Paris at Charisma Eglise Chrétienne, a church. They delivered a sensational show with a band and a choir of over 40 musicians to an audience of 5,000, broadcast live worldwide. In July 2024, they toured Italy, performing at several of Europe's most renowned music festivals, including Piazza Medaglia d'Oro Biagini.
Paty Fernandes decided early on to become a singer. At just 16, she started college and, four years later, graduated in Brazil with a degree in popular singing. By 18, Paty won a global singing competition that took her to NYC to record alongside Fergie (Black Eyed Peas). For six years, Paty was a member of Raul Gil's band on one of Brazil's most influential TV shows, aired on SBT (Brazilian System Television), where she performed with some of Brazil's and the world's top artists. Before moving to the US, Paty recorded a DVD with singer and songwriter Mauricio Manieri alongside renowned artists like Jon Secada. Devoted to music, Paty continually strives for improvement and embraces new challenges, constantly studying and composing.
At 17, Leo Testoni began his studies in popular guitar at a college in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2011, Leo was invited to perform the Brazilian national anthem at WGP Kickboxing events, playing at São Paulo's largest arenas with live broadcasts worldwide. During the 2012 tour with the band Casa das Máquinas, he placed his name and hands on the "Brazilian Rock Walk of Fame." In 2016, he took part in the revival of the Broadway musical Godspell at Teatro das Artes in São Paulo. In January 2018, during a visit to Los Angeles, Leo recorded part of his debut album/DVD, Arranged & Spontaneous Sessions, featuring special guests such as Carl Verheyen (Supertramp), Faiska, and Sandro Haick. In 2022, Leo received a full scholarship for a master's degree in guitar performance at Utah State University and moved to the US in August of the same year. Early in the program, he was invited to participate in various projects as an educator and a musician. As a performer, Leo has been involved in diverse projects, including the USU Jazz Orchestra, Caine Jazz Combo, and musicals like One Man, Two Guvnors, and Spotlight. He also toured Italy, performing at major jazz festivals, including the Umbria Jazz Festival.
