ABOUT

Duet Paty & Leo is a musical group built on decades of artistry, chemistry, and professionalism. More than just performers, they create musical experiences that elevate the audience's enjoyment. Their seamless interplay on stage is the result of a shared musical journey that has grown into a trusted name for audiences and event planners alike.

They first met when they were very young, while beginning their studies in music college, when Paty was 16 and Leo was 17. After graduating and years of performing with acclaimed bands and artists, they reunited to launch Duet Paty & Leo in 2020. Since then, the duo has performed across the United States, Europe, and South America, captivating countless audiences. Their versatility and stage presence have led to collaborations with renowned musicians and invitations to prestigious venues worldwide.

In 2021, they released their album Da Nossa Terra (From Our Land), bringing classic Brazilian repertoire to life with fresh, contemporary arrangements.

 

In 2023, they recorded with legendary drummer Danny Gottlieb (The Pat Metheny Group, Mahavishnu Orchestra). Later in 2023, Duet Paty & Leo performed in Paris with a choir and band of over 40 musicians to an audience of 5,000, broadcast live around the globe.

 

In 2024, their tour across Italy included performances at several of Europe's most renowned jazz festivals.

Today, from their base in Los Angeles, Paty & Leo carry their music to audiences near and far, always embracing the belief that music belongs wherever people gather to celebrate.

 

PATY FERNANDES

Paty Fernandes is a singer, songwriter, and Latin Grammy®-nominated vocalist. She decided early on to pursue a career as a singer. At just 16, she started college and graduated four years later with a degree in Popular Singing in Brazil. By 18, she won a global singing competition that took her to New York City to record a single produced and written by Wyclef Jean, alongside Fergie (Black Eyed Peas).

For six years, Paty was a member of Raul Gil's band on one of Brazil's most influential TV shows, aired on SBT (Brazilian System Television), where she performed with prominent Brazilian and international artists, gaining national recognition.

In 2019, she released her debut single Último Dia, marking the beginning of her career as a songwriter. Before moving to the U.S. in 2023, Paty recorded a live DVD with Brazilian singer and songwriter Maurício Manieri, alongside renowned artists such as Jon Secada. As a vocalist, she also contributed to the album O Bar Me Chama by the legendary Brazilian rock band Velhas Virgens, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2021 for Best Rock Album.

Since arriving in the United States, Paty has also been sought after beyond Duet Paty & Leo, performing with Grammy®-nominated conductor and pianist Otmaro Ruiz as well as Grammy®-nominated singer Catina DeLuna, further establishing her reputation as a versatile and in-demand vocalist.

LEO TESTONI

At just 17, Leo Testoni entered music college in São Paulo, Brazil, to study music and guitar performance. His talent quickly led to high-profile opportunities, including performing the Brazilian national anthem at WGP Kickboxing events, which were broadcast worldwide live from São Paulo’s largest arenas. Between 2010 and 2012, he toured with the legendary rock band Casa das Máquinas and was later inducted into the Brazilian Rock Walk of Fame.

Expanding his career beyond rock, Leo joined the Broadway revival of Godspell at Teatro das Artes and, in 2018, released his debut album/DVD Arranged & Spontaneous Sessions, collaborating with Carl Verheyen (Supertramp), Faiska, Sandro Haick, and other acclaimed musicians.

In 2022, Leo was awarded a full scholarship to pursue a Master of Music in Guitar Performance at Utah State University. After moving to the U.S., he immersed himself in both education and performance, contributing to jazz ensembles such as the USU Jazz Orchestra and the Caine Jazz Combo, as well as musical theater productions including One Man, Two Guvnors and Spotlight. He has also appeared at major international jazz festivals across Europe, including the iconic Umbria Jazz Festival.

After graduating with his Master of Music degree, Leo has continued to be in demand beyond Duet Paty & Leo, performing and recording with artists such as Ericka Guitron, Antonia Bennett, Natália Spadini, Caro Pierotto, Estani Frizzell, and Grammy® Award winners Los Texmaniacs.
